During this wonderful journey you will discover the highlights of the Cuban west: irritate the vibrant capital Havana, the magnificent valley of Viñales with its unique landscape and the unique dreamy beaches of Varadero

After your landing on the airport of Havana a collective transfer is ready to bring you from  the airport into the town to the hotel in Havana. In case you will arrive at the airport in Varadero, a transfer will be organized to the hotel in Havana.

After that “Check in“ Hotel Melia Habana (or equal) in Havana.

Right at the beginning of the journey, after the breakfast, you can look forward to an exciting journey of discovery. You will be picked up by an English speaking Cuban guide for a trip trough the old town of Havana on foot. The guide will explain to you the different attractions and the map of the reconstruction of the old town. Responsible therefore is the city historian.

• Walk through the main streets and places in the historical centre of the old town: former weapons space, Franciscan space, old square and place of the Cathedral.
• visit the garden of mother Teresa with the Greek Orthodox temple.
• Walk from the “ Cortina de Valdes “ to the remains of the weapons foundry  “Maestranza de la Artilleria.“

• Panorama round trip with old timer from the 50s and 60s years through the modern Havana ( Malecon, Centro Havana, Vedado, Miramar ) with a stop on the most important points : National Capitol, Revolution square.
• Short trip through the forest of Havana and the park “ Metropolitano “

Then you will return to the Hotel Melia Habana (or comparable).

Holiday in the Caribbean, that stimulates all the senses! Today this is especially useful for the smell and taste.
In the morning you will be enchanted by the flavours from the colonial era.
You will see some places in old town which will take you in the spell of past times with fragrant of tobacco and perfume. Enjoy a genuine Havana cigar and try exotic perfumes.

• Visit the Taquechel pharmacy with many natural products
• Visit the perfumery “ Havana 1791 “
• Visit the Hostal del Habano  (Hostal of the Havana cigars) Meeting with a cigar-turner and tasting a cigar with rum and coffee.
• Visit the perfume museum, where you can see an interesting collection of flacons and historical objects from the production of perfumes. Some of the perfumes you can buy and take them as a souvenir.

Then you discover a second part of Cuban history. The origin and development of the rum production on the island and also to know how to prepare real authentic rum.

• Cocktail preparation: A professional Cuban Barkeeper will show you how to prepare a Cuban cocktail
• Visit the most famous bars in old town “El Floridita” and “La Bodeguita del Medio”
• Degustation of a cocktail in hotel “ Ambos Mundos “ or hotel “Beltran de Santa Cruz“.

Then you will return to the hotel Melia Havana (or comparable)

Today we are going to the Valle de Viñales. About 200 km southwest of Havana, in the province of Pinar del Rio is situated one of the most beautiful Cuban landscapes.
Limestone mountains – called “mogotes“ are very impressive. About 160 million years before they formed the pillars of a big cave system, which has been preserved only partially.

During this day you will collect unforgettable impressions of this wonderful landscapes and its tropical nature. In this region one of the best tobaccos is growing and many factories are producing the universally known Cuban cigars.

• Visit the Valle de Viñales with the so-called wall of the past, a giant mural on a mogote
• Lunch in a local restaurant with one drink
• Visit the “Cueva del Indio“ (Indian cave). Discovered in 1920, this cave consists of several rooms where numerous pre-Columbian art objects were found. A 200 m long way leads to an underground river, a short boat trip is possible (fee not included)
• n the way: Visit a Cuban  farmer
• Visit a cigar factory (Closed on Sundays and public holidays)
• Return to Havana

Overnight and breakfast in hotel Melia Havana (or comparable)

A transfer will pick you up in front of your hotel and take you to Varadero in ca. 150 km.
You have time for relaxation and recreation and of course sporting activities.

Varadero is well known for its wonderful beaches and nice hotels. Enjoy your stay in the hotel Sol Palmeras. You can relax, soak up sun, doing water sports and other things like tennis, volleyball etc.

At this day your Cuba travel will end. Untill the check out you can use all the All-inclusive achievements of the hotel.
