This is a trip for spontaneous travellers, who decide shortly what they want to see.
Who wants to discover Havana individually and at the same time have expert assistance is right here. Afterwards you will go and enjoy a beach holiday at the island Cayo Coco, where white beaches and crystal clear waters are waiting for you.

After arrival at the airport in Havana an exclusive transfer is waiting to take you to your hotel in Havana. Optionally the same procedure for Varadero.
Check-in at the hotel Melia Cohiba (or comparable) in Havana. This will be your first night in Havana.

At the first day in Cuba you will have some time for a good breakfast in your hotel. Afterwards we will pick you up at the hotel for an exclusive sightseeing tour in Havana. During a walk through the historical old town you get explained the attractions by a competent German speaking guide. You will also get some interesting information about the restoration project of the old town of Havana which is given by the office of the city historian.

Of course, a metropolis like Havana disposes of somewhat more than an old town. After lunch you will get to know modern Havana in one of the famous old timers from the 50’s and 60’s. You make a discovering tour of the lively Cuban capital together with your guide with some stops for making photos.

• Walk through the main streets and places in the historical centre of the old town: Plaza de Armas (former arms’ square), Plaza de Francisco, Plaza Vieja (Old Square) and Plaza de la Catedral.
• Visit to the “Garden of Mother Teresa” with the Greek-Orthodox Temple.
• Walk from the “Cortina de Valdes” up to the remainders of the arms’ foundry “Maestranza de la Artillería”.
• Lunch in a typical Cuban restaurant in the old town of Havana.
• Panorama roundtrip with one of the famous old timers of the 50’s and 60’s through modern Havana (along the Malecon, district of the centre of Havana, Vedado, Miramar) with stops at the most important points like: Capitolio Nacional, Plaza de la Revolución etc.)
• Short trip through the forest of Havana and the “Parque Metropolitano”.

After the sightseeing tour you will be brought back to the hotel Melia Cohiba (or comparable).

Today begins the part of your staying in Havana which you can design according to your own wishes. You have the choice about what you want to know more. In accordance with your guide you may assemble a program of your own choice out of the half-day thematic tours. 
Do you want to know more about the art of the rum production or have a look behind the scenes of production of the legendary Havana cigars? Both is possible today. (Hint: the tobacco factory in Havana is closed at the weekend). You have of course other possibilities, too, how to design your program.

The following thematic tours are at your disposal:

• Aroma Colonial (coffee, tobacco, perfume)
• Art & colours
• Everyday impressions: Cuba offside the usual tourist paths.
• Architecture of Havana
• Religion in Cuba: Santería, Orishas and more
• A museum tour: you have a lot of possibilities according to your interests.

You may split the tours of your choice between morning and afternoon. A lunch in a typical Cuban restaurant is also included.

After the sightseeing tour you will be transferred to your hotel “Melia Cohiba”.

Today you the Cuban West might welcome you. Would you like a deeper insight into Havana or rather see natural treasures in Saroa / Las Terrazas or even the famous valley of Viñales?
Of course, you can divide your programs in two half-day portions.

You have the following possibilities for the whole day:

• Havana with heart and brain – get to know the Cuban social system – authentic and informative, as tourists rarely experience it.
• Private trip to Saroa / Las Terrazas.
• Private trip to the valley of Viñales: world cultural landscape of the UNESCO and one of the best tobacco growing regions in the world. 

For half a day you have the possibility to combine the trips or activities:

• Cocktail lesson – a professional Cuban barkeeper will show you how to mix a Cuban drink. By good reasons, already the Nobel price winner for Literature, Hemingway, was convinced of the Daiquiri.
• The fortresses of Havana – they belong to the biggest colonial buildings still preserved in Latin America as a whole.
• Photography lesson with a well known Cuban photo artist. Get unique impressions of your stay in Havana.
• Trip to the social project “Arte Corte”.
• A visit to the promotion program for urban and ecological agriculture in the district of Alamar. A unique authentic view into a social project, based on private initiative, as well as into a facility for promoting ecological growing of food in urban surroundings.
• On the trail of the Nobel price winner for Literature, Hemingway: you will learn where the centre of life of this world famous writer has been for many years and get inspired by the surroundings which led to the novel “The Old Man And The Sea”.

Lunch is included.
After the sightseeing tour you will be transferred to your hotel “Melia Cohiba”.

By a domestic flight you get from Havana to the  island of Cayo Cogo, located in front of the northern coast of Cuba. The transfers from the hotel to the airport and back are included.

This island which officially belongs to the province of Ciego de Avila, offers some of the most beautiful beaches of Cuba. It disposes of some very nice hotels and enough room for wonderful nature.

Check-in in all-inclusive hotel “Melia Cayo Coco”***** or comparable.

Enjoy the Caribbean. Relax in the sun, take a bath and go swimming, do water sports, discover the rich flora and fauna … and of course Cayo Coco is also a good base for all fans of diving sports, because of the numerous coral reefs around this island.

There is also the possibility to get some modification by a trip to the Cuban onshore.
You can reach the onshore via a 17 km long embankment and go to more destinations like Moron and the city of Ciego de Avila.

Today ends the all inclusive stay in Cayo Coco. You will leave the wonderful sandy beaches behind you and will return to Havana by a domestic flight. Transfers between hotels and airports are included.
The last night on Cuban ground you will spend in the capital of the country. Enjoy again the flair of this Caribbean metropolis.

Overnight stay with breakfast.

After breakfast and check-out you may still have some time to walk through Havana, depending on your departure time.

The transfer to the airport of Havana is included. Optionally we may also organize for you a transfer to the airport of Varadero.
