Afterwards we are going into the valley of Viñales, which was appointed as a world heritage site. Last but not least enjoy the tropical island of Cayo Largo.

At the arrival day we will pick you up at the airport in Havana. Optionally we can organize a transfer from the airport of Varadero.
Afterwards the transfer takes place to the hotel Melia Habana (or equivalent alternative hotel) in Havana.

Today you will discover Havana. The Cuban capital has a lot to offer. After breakfast you will make a sightseeing tour together with the German speaking guide. In the morning you will walk through the old town. You will see a lot of tourist attractions and especially get information about the restoration project of the old town of Havana. The information is given by the office of the city historian.
After lunch in a restaurant in Havana you will discover modern Havana by a classic old-timer of the 50’s and 60’s.

• Walk through the main streets and places in the historical centre of the old town: Plaza de Armas (former arms’ square), Plaza de Francisco, Plaza Vieja (Old Square) and Plaza de la Catedral.
• Visit to the “Garden of Mother Teresa” with the Greek-Orthodox Temple.
• Walk from the “Cortina de Valdes” up to the remainders of the arms’ foundry “Maestranza de la Artillería”.
• Panorama roundtrip with one of the famous old timers of the 50’s and 60’s through modern Havana (along the Malecon, district of the centre of Havana, Vedado, Miramar) with stops at the most important points like: Capitolio Nacional, Plaza de la Revolución etc.)
• Short trip through the forest of Havana and the “Parque Metropolitano”.

After the sightseeing tour you will be brought back to the hotel Melia Havana (or equivalent alternative hotel).

Today you will be seduced by the wonderful colonial flavour. You will visit some places in the old town of Havana which are connected to the tobacco and perfume smells. Enjoy a genuine Havana cigar and try the exotic perfumes.

• Visit of the Taquechel pharmacy where you will find various natural products of medical plants.
• Visit to the perfumery “Havana 1791” with a big choice of colonial flavours. (including one souvenir).
• Visit to the “Hostal del Habano” (Hostal of the Havana cigars). Meet a cigar roller and try a cigar with Cuban rum and coffee.
• Visit to the perfume museum with an interesting collection of exclusive flacons and historical sujets of the perfume production. You might buy various perfumes, scented oils and scented candles.

Afterwards you will discover a second part of the Cuban history: the origin and development of the rum production in Cuba as well as the art of producing a real authentic rum. A cocktail lesson with a professional Cuban barkeeper and lunch are included.

• Visit of the rum museum.
• Taste a Havana Club drink
• Preparation of a cocktail: a professional Cuban barkeeper will show you how to mix a Cuban cocktail.
• Visit to the famous bars in the old town: “El Floridita” and “La Bodeguita del Medio”.
• Taste of a cocktail in the Hotel “Ambos Mundos” or “Beltran de Santa Cruz”.

Transfer to the hotel Melia Havana or equivalent alternative hotel.

One of the most famous natural regions of Cuba is the valley of Viñales. Today you will discover this region in the Western part of Cuba. You will be impressed by the so-called Mogotes (high karst stone cones) as well as by the local tobacco fields.
You will gain unforgettable impressions by this fantastic landscape and the tropical nature which is also special by its endemic fauna and flora. Moreover, this region is one of the best tobacco growing areas of the world.

• Transfer from Havana to Viñales and back.
• Professional English speaking guide
• Tour through the valley of Viñales with the so-called wall of pre-history, a giant mural on a mogote.
• Lunch in a local restaurant with a drink.
• Visit to the “Cueva del Indio” (Indian cave). This cave was discovered in 1920 and consists of several rooms where numerous pre-Columbian art objects were found.
• A 200 m long passage leads to an underground river where you can make a short boat trip (entrance fee not included).
• On the way: visit to a Cuban farmer.
• Visit to a cigar factory in the province of Pinar del Rio (closed on Sundays and holidays).

Return to Havana.

Overnight and breakfast in the hotel “Melia Havana” or equivalent alternative hotel.

In the morning we will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the airport, from where you get a domestic flight to the Caribbean island of Cayo Largo. This island is located in front of the south coast of Cuba and had been a hiding-place and base of pirates formerly. After arrival at the island you will be transferred to your hotel.

Check-in in all-inclusive hotel “Sol Club Cayo Largo”**** or equivalent alternative hotel.

Enjoy the beaches of the Caribbean Sea. Relax in the sun, take a bath and go swimming and use the possibilities for water sport offered by the hotel. Cayo Largo offers everything for a recreative beach holiday.
Cayo Largo is also a special highlight for divers, because numerous coral reefs can be discovered in the waters around this island.

Today you will be transferred to the airport of Cayo Largo for your return to Havana.
The last night on Cuban ground you will spend again in the lively capital of the country.
Transfer to the Hotel Melia Havana or equivalent alternative hotel. Check-in.
Overnight stay with breakfast.

The last hours in Cuba are at your disposal. After breakfast you may walk through the city or enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

You will be picked up by a transfer according to your departure time and taken to the airport of Havana. Optionally we may also organize for you a transfer to the airport of Varadero.
